Description
- Prepare departmental Profit and Loss reports.
- Manage project accounting and submit grant claims.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany analysis.
- Support year-end processes with financial statements and working papers.
- Maintain an accurate fixed asset register aligned with governance standards.
- Work with budget holders to produce accurate forecasts and budgets.
- Complete monthly management accounts on time.
- Post journals, including accruals and prepayments.
- Analyse performance against budget, forecast, and KPIs, identifying trends and providing actionable insights.
- Present financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Submit gift aid, VAT, and National Statistics returns.
- Provide finance team coverage during absences.

- Skilled in Financial and Management Accounting.
- Experienced in year-end processes and preparing working papers for financial statements.
- Background in busy finance teams, with flexibility to cover multiple roles.
- Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills.
- Effective communicator, confident in presenting financial data to senior management.
- Proficient in finance systems and MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
