Management Accountant - Permanent - South Leicestershire - up to £50,000 per annum DOE

Macildowie Finance are working exclusively with an SME based in South Leicestershire who are looking to recruit a Management Accountant into their team on a permanent basis.

This position is a vital role within the business, being a visible presence across all departments.

You will be working for a rapidly growing business whose turnover has doubled in the last 2 years. If you have experience working for a fast growing business, this would be a great position for you!

This position needs to accurately produce management accounts including Balance Sheet and P&L production; but also have understanding and ability to carry out general accounting tasks including journal entries, accruals and prepayments.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Preparing income statements, balance sheets and other financial documents
  • Measuring the company's financial performance based on financial records
  • Overseeing other aspects of financial operations such as bookkeeping and occasionally payroll (annual leave cover only)
  • Evaluating and monitoring financial information systems and recommending improvements where needed

This business is going through an exciting period where you will have the opportunity to be a key influence in sharing new ideas on how to make business and team improvements!

Due to this position being a pivotal role for the business, this will be an office based position, but they can be flexible and accommodating to working hours.

The ideal person will be/have:

  • Part/Qualified CIMA/ACCA or Qualified by Experience
  • Experience working with and producing management accounts
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills (essential), to speak with a variety of stakeholders
  • Driving license (desirable)
