Management Accountant - Permanent - Leicester - up to £50,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading business as a Management Accountant. This role plays a key part in ensuring financial health, supporting strategic decision-making, and providing essential financial information across departments. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and attention to detail while thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and ad-hoc financial reports.
  • Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany accounts.
  • Support budgeting, cashflow forecasting, and performance analysis with KPI and variance reports.
  • Liaise with budget holders, ensuring they understand and effectively use financial information.
  • Coordinate with auditors, assist in the preparation of statutory accounts, and VAT returns.
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting and process payments.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial data for regulatory bodies as required.
  • Support the transition to a new finance system, suggesting and implementing improvements.

Skills & Experience for The Ideal Candidate:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with prior experience in management accounts.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel; SAP or similar systems is a plus.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage time autonomously and efficiently.

You will be based in the office 4 days per week, and 1 day working from home, with some flexibility around working hours if needed.
