We're supporting an independent firm of accountants in Leicester with their recruitment and succession planning on a retained basis and as such we're excited to tell our candidates about this excellent opportunity with an associated reward of up to £100k p/a.

Of critical importance in this role is the ability to oversee the high level provision of audit for a large and loyal client portfolio. Many of this firm's clients enjoy turnovers in the billions. It's also imperative that the successful candidate is a personable character, communicates brilliantly with clients and staff and has the potential to progress to upper echelons of this firm's oganisation structure.

Job Purpose

  • Leading the planning and completion of large complex audits.
  • Act as the first point of contact for a diverse client portfolio.
  • Undertaking both pre-and post-audit meetings.
  • Managing a team of qualified and part-qualified accountants, including Audit Juniors, Audit Semi Seniors and Audit Seniors and Audit Managers.
  • Overseeing and managing the workflow of the audit team.
  • Liaising with clients and managing client expectations.
  • Supervising and reviewing staff work, providing input before submission.
  • Reporting directly to the Audit Partners and attending client meetings.
  • Streamlining processes and procedures.
  • Attendance and input to practice development initiatives, including significant networking and new prospect/potential client proposals.
