Our client has been established for over 20 years, gaining a reputation for providing first-class compliance and advisory services to a diverse range of businesses and personal tax clients. They are looking for an experienced auditor who is ACCA/ACA qualified or nearly qualified to join their growing accountancy and assurance services team.

The role will primarily involve the audit of corporate clients in a variety of different sectors and will include audit planning, fieldwork, and completion. This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of Leicester's leading independent accountancy firms with a growing client base.

Senior Auditor Job Overview
  • Managing and conducting audit planning, fieldwork, and completion for a diverse client portfolio.
  • Leading audits from start to finish, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
  • Reviewing and preparing financial statements for clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to the latest accounting frameworks.
  • Identifying and communicating key risks and issues identified during audits, providing practical advice and recommendations.
  • Liaising with clients to understand their business, build relationships, and resolve any queries.
  • Mentoring and coaching junior staff, providing them with support and feedback.
  • Ensuring efficient audit processes and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
Senior Auditor Job Requirements
  • ACCA/ACA qualified or nearly qualified
  • Highly motivated and commercially focused
  • Ability and willingness to mentor and develop work colleagues
  • Preferably have a minimum of three years' practice experience but not essential
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Skilled at dealing with people and have the ability to support and develop work colleagues
Senior Auditor Salary & Benefits
  • Salary: £45,000- £55,000 but flexible based on experience.
  • Working hours: 38.5 hours a week
  • Hybrid working (up to 2 remote days per week, subject to workload and team availability).
  • Holiday Package: 24 days (4 allocated for Christmas) + 8BH
  • Holiday increases with service, plus the option to buy additional leave.
