Assistant Accountant - up to £30,000 per annum - Leicester based - Permanent

Macildowie Finance are currently supporting a large business based in Central Leicester who are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their dynamic finance team on a permanent basis.

This opportunity is ideal for a candidate with a couple of years' experience within accounts, who is studying (either ACCA/CIMA or AAT with a view to progress onto ACCA/CIMA), and is interested in developing their skillset to include responsibilities such as balance sheet work and assisting in budgeting.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

Perform monthly tasks required by the business, including accruals, prepayments, intercompany transactions, balance sheet reconciliations
Assisting in budgeting and forecasting processes
Working closely with the wider finance team to support on monthly Management Accounts
Assisting in financial analysis

The ideal candidate will be/have:

Part Qualified, studying either ACCA/CIMA or AAT with a view to progress onto ACCA/CIMA
Excellent communication and team-work ability
Circa 2 years' working in an accounting position
Self-discipline and strong organisational skills
