Assistant Accountant - up to £30,000 per annum - Leicester based - Permanent

Macildowie Finance are currently supporting a large business based in Central Leicester who are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their dynamic finance team on a permanent basis.

This opportunity is ideal for a candidate with a couple of years' experience within accounts, who is studying (either ACCA/CIMA or AAT with a view to progress onto ACCA/CIMA), and is interested in developing their skillset to include responsibilities such as balance sheet work and assisting in budgeting.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Perform monthly tasks required by the business, including accruals, prepayments, intercompany transactions, balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting in budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Working closely with the wider finance team to support on monthly Management Accounts
  • Assisting in financial analysis

The ideal candidate will be/have:

  • Part Qualified, studying either ACCA/CIMA or AAT with a view to progress onto ACCA/CIMA
  • Excellent communication and team-work ability
  • Circa 2 years' working in an accounting position
  • Self-discipline and strong organisational skills
