The Role:Our client is seeking an Assistant Accountant. Supporting their International Online business from their Head Office in Leicestershire, this role offers a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to develop in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You'll play a key role in maintaining financial controls, delivering analysis, and driving process improvements to support business growth.

The Person:The ideal candidate will be a part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with a proven ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, high-growth business. You'll have strong financial and management accounting skills, excellent problem-solving capabilities, and a keen eye for detail. Advanced MS Excel skills are essential, and experience with SQL, Databricks, or similar tools is highly desirable. You'll also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders.

  • Managing payments for international online transactions and reconciling international tenders.
  • Providing oversight of cashflow and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Engaging proactively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Delivering daily/weekly reporting on cash KPIs to support business decisions.
  • Analysing and improving financial processes, driving automation and efficiency.
  • Supporting audits and responding to ad hoc queries.
  • Preparing monthly cost accruals and maintaining financial controls.
