Business Support Assistant (BSA)

We are currently seeking two Business Support Assistants to join our Business Support Team, supporting the Safeguarding Unit. This role is crucial for typing up Child Protection Conferences from recordings and requires individuals who can handle sensitive and distressing content with the utmost confidentiality and accuracy.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Typing up Child Protection Plans from recordings of meetings, ensuring high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Submitting typed documents to the Chair for approval and, once approved, uploading them to our in-house database.
  • Securely emailing approved documents to attendees and family members within a statutory turnaround timescale of 5 working days for the plan and 15 working days for the meeting record.
  • Producing a record of the meeting from the same recordings, following a similar approval and distribution process.
  • Managing sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality and care, especially when handling distressing content.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in minute-taking or typing from recordings.
  • Excellent typing and accuracy skills
  • Strong time management skills to meet statutory deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Experience in handling distressing content is preferable.
  • Familiarity with standard office software and databases.
