Student Warden

My client, a college in Leicester is looking for a Student Warden to support them in maintaining a positive and productive environment by ensuring students adhere to the College’s code of conduct and by promoting good behaviour and work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Interaction: Greet students as they enter the College and ensure they comply with the College’s expectations as outlined in the code of conduct.
  • Social Spaces Monitoring: Circulate around the College’s social spaces to encourage considerate use in line with the code of conduct and promote good student behaviour.
  • Disciplinary Support: Support the College’s intervention procedures for out-of-class disciplinary issues, including recording information on ProMonitor and providing evidence when required.
  • Meeting Facilitation: Assist in the intervention processes by facilitating student attendance at meetings with the guidance team.
  • Security: Alert the College to any unauthorized visitors and assist as required.

General Responsibilities:

  • Safeguarding: Ensure adherence to the College’s policies and procedures regarding the safeguarding and promotion of student welfare.
  • Equality and Diversity: Ensure the application of the College’s Single Equality Scheme, valuing diversity and promoting equality.
  • Health & Safety: Implement the College’s Health & Safety policy and procedures within your area of responsibility.
  • Mission and Values: Support, promote, and operate in line with the College’s mission and values.
  • Continuous Improvement: Commit to the continuous improvement of services offered by the College.
  • Other Duties: Undertake any other reasonable duties commensurate with the role as required by the Principal.
