Professional Technical is recruiting a Design Engineer for a leading automotive manufacturer in the East Midlands. We're seeking individuals passionate about the motor industry (motorbikes or cars) with proven automotive experience.
Role Overview:
You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and testing motorcycle accessories, from concept to production. Working with various engineering teams, you'll create high-quality products that enhance and personalised motorcycles worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce 3D CAD designs (PTC Creo) for accessory upgrades.
Develop detailed technical drawings to BS 8888 & industry standards.
Ensure designs meet material, strength, corrosion, cost, and mass requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
Conduct initial validation with FEA and document test results.
Skills & Experience:
Passion for engineering, particularly in the motorcycle or automotive sector.
Experience in motorcycle accessory design or similar products.
Proficiency in 3D CAD (preferably PTC Creo).
Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
