Radley Green is partnering with a rapidly growing Fire and Security Alarms business to recruit a Head of Engineering Operations.

This is a strategic leadership role, overseeing a team of 15-20 engineers across installation, service, and maintenance. As part of the senior management team, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of the business.

About the Role:

This is not a hands-on technical role — it’s a senior management position ideal for an experienced alarms professional with a background in engineering and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Installation Management

  • Oversee daily operations of the engineering team
  • Schedule and optimise engineer diaries for maximum efficiency
  • Monitor project delivery against quotes to ensure profitability
  • Manage equipment sourcing and installation logistics
  • Liaise with customers to coordinate project scheduling

Technical Support

  • Provide expert guidance to engineers facing technical issues
  • Attend key client meetings as the technical lead
  • Ensure ongoing NSI technical compliance

Team Development & Recruitment

  • Lead recruitment and onboarding of new engineers
  • Design and deliver individual training plans
  • Uphold quality standards across all engineering functions

Fleet Management

  • Maintain legal and mechanical compliance across the vehicle fleet
  • Manage vehicle logistics including purchasing and sales
  • Oversee use of tracking systems

Support on Acquisitions

  • Conduct skills assessments of newly acquired engineering teams

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in Fire and Intruder Alarm systems
  • Background in engineering management (not a hands-on role)
  • Strong leadership skills and a passion for developing teams
