The Quality Compliance Engineer role supports the Compliance Director to coordinate and develop the Quality processes within the business. The role would suit someone with some qualifications and 1-2 years' experience of ISO9001:2015 processes - keen to learn and progress their career and, in time, have the potential to assume overall responsibility for compliance within our group.
Job Specification
. Advise line management and assist with the implementation of new or existing 9001 and 14001 related legislation, rules and Company standards.
. Manage Special Quality Plan processes and projects.
. Undertake prevention & improvement inspections on a regular basis and ensure records maintained of same
. Support a monthly Compliance Communication Strategy for all sites and levels of staff, to include written information, tool box talks and management briefs
. Plan and perform ISO audits to plan
. Lead external BSI and customer audits.
. Monitor and report non-conformances ie. Internal and external rejects
. Manage and maintain customer compliance platforms ie. Risqs, uvdb, Ecovadis
. Assist in maintaining and improving all current quality accreditations (ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015) and support the attainment of new accreditations (ie. ISO45001:2018).
. Monitor employee off-site compliance accreditations ie. CSCS, National Grid etc.
. Support/lead internal compliance training ie. Quality Awareness, toolbox talks etc.
Key Qualifications:
. Proven experience in ISO 9001 & 14001 auditing
. IEMA or equivalent environmental management certification
. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Essential Experience
. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Quality role in a technical or manufacturing environment
. Significant knowledge of, and interest in, ISO9001:2015 & 14001 processes
. Internal auditing, compliance and maintenance of relevant standards, risk Assessment experience, an understanding of and the ability to interpret quality related legislation.
. Excellent verbal, written and pc communication skills
. Experience of quality management systems and process control.
Package and Additional Information
. You will be based at our Leicester site, but will be required to travel to our Manchester site from time to time as required.
. Permanent day shift working Monday to Friday 37 hours.
. Full-time, Permanent (although we will consider 30 hours
. Hours 8.30 to 5.00 Mon to Thurs, Friday 8.30 to 1.00 (? hour lunch)
. Salary £32k - £38k (depending on experience)
. Office Based
. Hols 23 Rising To 25 + Statutory days
