This world renowned automotive brand is continually pushing the boundaries of innovation. To support the development of future models, we are looking for a skilled and dedicated Senior Integration and Validation Engineer to join the Electrical/Electronic Components Engineering Team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless integration and validation of cutting-edge electrical and electronic components into their vehicles.

Key Responsibilities as Senior Integration and Validation Engineer:

  • Lead the integration and validation activities for complex automotive systems.
  • Plan and manage the integrated software delivery into vehicle systems.
  • Utilise CANoe and CANalyzer for system integration and validation.
  • Apply knowledge of diagnostic protocols and reprogramming.
  • Conduct system tests and validation to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Generate manual and automated test cases and develop scripts using CAPL, Python, or similar languages.
  • Use defect resolution tools, such as JIRA, to track and resolve issues.
  • Perform closed-loop testing and support software download, optimisation, and continual improvement processes.
  • Interface with suppliers to deliver robust solutions, including APIs, hardware abstraction layers, and suitable operating systems.
  • Support full life cycle control systems processes for use in chassis, powertrain, driveline, suspension, or HMI systems.
  • Collaborate with the test and validation team to ensure appropriate Design Verification Plans (DVPs) and test coverage.
  • Continuously advance design procedures, advise on best practices, and improve efficiency.
  • Attend and disseminate information from seminars and conferences.
  • Undertake and assist with duties as required by your manager.

Qualifications and Skills as Senior Integration and Validation Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in integration and validation within the automotive industry or similar environments.
  • Proven experience with the integration and validation phase of the V-Model development life cycle.
  • Proficiency with CANoe and CANalyzer for system integration and validation.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic protocols and reprogramming.
  • Proficiency in systems test and validation.
  • Strong understanding of CAN communication and detailed knowledge of the protocol.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.

Desirables:

  • Experience with Vector PREEvision is advantageous.
  • Experience in manual and automated test case generation.
  • Proficiency in script development (e.g., CAPL, Python).
  • Experience with defect resolution tools such as JIRA.
  • Experience in closed-loop testing.
  • Experience in software download, optimisation, and continual improvement.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and chair work product review meetings.
