Ford & Stanley Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for a Structural Engineer on behalf of an award-winning firm that provides a complete range of consultancy services to all sectors of the construction community, from architects, project managers and contractors to developers and estate agents.

Based in the heart of the country, with easy access to all areas of the UK, the firm operates nationwide to offer expertise in civil, structural, transportation, geotechnical and environmental engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Due to continued demand for their services, we are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join the team in the Leicester office.

The successful candidates will be working across various sector areas, including, Affordable Housing, Education, Local Authority, Commercial Property, & Highways, and Rail. Our Structural Engineer will be involved in the design of buildings and structures using the common construction materials (steel, timber, masonry, and reinforced concrete).

We are looking for candidates that have solid design experience, and that are happy to operate in a ‘hands on’ manor – this is not a design management role.

Working patterns

  • Hybrid working – 3 days from the Leicester office, 2 days WFH. Occasional travel to site/client premises
  • Flexible working hours

Salary/Package

  • Up to £55,000 per annum, with annual salary reviews (5% for all employees last year)

Agreed criteria for candidates to secure an interview:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering to BSc level or equivalent level of qualification.
  • Experienced Structural design
  • Good communication / people management / stakeholder management experience.
