Financial Services Administrator

Leicestershire (Our Ref AL1313) - office based role

Salary to £25,000 per annum dep on exp + excellent benefits

My client is an established Independent Financial Adviser company based in South Leicestershire and they have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced administrator to join their team. The role will involve all aspects of financial services administration and liaising with Advisers at every stage of the process. Experience in financial services will be an advantage, but is not essential. Enthusiasm and commitment in delivering a first-class service, to both clients and colleagues, is paramount.

Duties

  • Letters Of Authority (LOA) administration and processes.
  • Process new business applications.
  • Making appointment packs.
  • Preparing Valuations.
  • Photocopying.
  • Letter writing.
  • Telephoning providers.
  • General administrative duties when required.
  • Ensure all dealings with clients are carried out in a professional and courteous manner.

Ideal skills and experience:

  • Someone who has worked in a financial services organisation who understands regulations/compliance ideally, although individuals with good, solid administrative experience from a professional background will be welcomed.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook with the ability to get to grips with, what might be an unfamiliar software package, e.g., our back-office system (Iress Adviser Office).
  • Excellent customer facing interactions, good administration skills/phone manner and IT skills
  • Well-presented.
  • Self-motivated and organised, with a good work ethic.
  • Will take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work and can achieve results with minimal supervision.
  • Able to stay focused on tasks, despite distractions and interruptions.
  • Be an integral part of the team - a good communicator, willing to input new ideas and suggestions to improve process.
  • Flexible in their approach to work and processes. The right candidate should be able to adapt/evolve as working practices change.

  • This is a full-time, office based position, 37.5 hours per week, 9 am - 5 pm, (30 minutes unpaid lunch break), Monday to Friday.
