Macildowie are proud to be working in exclusive partnership with a highly successful, growing business based in Leicester City Centre to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk.

  • Salary: Up to £27,000 p/a

  • Contract Type: Permanent

  • Working Pattern: Flexi-time (Core Hours: Mon-Thurs 09:00-16:00, Fri 09:00-15:30)

  • Location: Hybrid - with an impressive office located in central Leicester

As a key part of the finance function, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely processing of invoices, reconciling supplier accounts, and dealing with a range of queries in a prompt and professional manner. You'll work closely with colleagues across the business, so strong communication skills are a must.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Accurately processing purchase invoices and credit notes

  • Managing supplier accounts and ensuring timely reconciliations

  • Handling foreign currency payments

  • Identifying and resolving discrepancies between internal records and supplier documentation

  • Liaising with internal teams and suppliers to ensure smooth invoice flow

  • Using a bespoke system alongside Sage 200 for data entry and tracking

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar financial admin role

  • Good working knowledge of Sage 200

  • Confident Microsoft Excel skills (basic to intermediate level)

  • A keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • A proactive and problem-solving attitude
