My client in the Loughborough area require x 2 time served Plater / Fabricators.

Job Summary
The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in welding and fabrication. As a Plater, you will be responsible for assembling and fabricating metal components, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process. Your expertise in using various hand and power tools will be essential in delivering precise and efficient work.

Responsibilities:

Fabricate metal components according to engineering specifications.
Responsible for carrying out MIG welding to high standards using engineering drawings and jig arrangements
Operate power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts.
Inspect finished products for quality and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience in welding, particularly stick welding, is essential.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
Experience working with sheet metal is advantageous.
Proficient in using both power tools and hand tools for assembly tasks.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
A commitment to maintaining high safety standards while performing duties.
