Our client is keen to a highly organised and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Admin Assistant to support the smooth operation of the office. This role involves bookkeeping tasks and general administrative duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with office management and supporting other team members.

Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Process accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns.
- Manage petty cash.
- Process payroll.
- Generate financial reports using Sage.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Administrative:
- Answer and direct phone calls.
- Manage correspondence.
- Greet visitors professionally.
- Schedule appointments and manage calendars.
- Organise and maintain office files and records.
- Order and maintain office supplies.
- Prepare machine documents.
- Assist with travel arrangements.
- Support other team members as needed.
- Perform other administrative duties as required.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping and administration is essential.
- Proficiency in Sage accounting software (e.g., Sage 50, Sage Business Cloud Accounting).
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
