Bookkeeper - Sole Trader & Small Business accounts

Eaton Syalon are working with an incredible owner managed accountancy practice to hire an addition to their team due to continued growth of new client wins in to the firm.

Our client is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with good knowledge of managing a portfolio of small client (Sole traders/SME) accounts and working with Xero (preferrable).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage bookkeeping for a portfolio of sole traders and small business clients.
  • Process sales and purchase invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and prepare VAT returns.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of management accounts.
  • Liaise with clients to provide support on financial queries.
  • Prepare and submit self-assessment tax returns for sole traders.
  • Support with year-end accounts and liaising with accountants.

If the role sounds of interest we would love to talk to you. You will need proven experience in bookkeeping within an accountancy firm setting, and proficiency in Xero (Or similar). You enjoy working autonomously and have excellent attention to detail along with the ability to build strong working relationships with clients.
