About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Partnership and Premises Officer. This role is crucial in developing and managing a fast-paced community space that addresses community needs and issues affecting everyday life. You will ensure the effective management, maintenance, and security of our premises, providing a safe, clean, and secure environment for staff, volunteers, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Multi-Agency Management: Efficiently utilise the space to provide interventions and solutions for community needs.
- Local Organising: Coordinate a team of volunteers
- Community Engagement: Understand the experiences leading people to seek food bank support through listening activities and research.
- Partnership Building: Assist in building relationships with partners, referral agencies, and local anti-poverty organisations.
- Identifying Local Issues: Work with the campaign team to develop strategies to address local poverty drivers.
- Safety and Safeguarding: Ensure the centre is a safe space for all users and volunteers, with proper safeguarding procedures in place.
Premises Management
- Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the building, grounds, and equipment.
- Security: Oversee the security of the premises, including opening/closing and monitoring security systems.
- Cleaning: Ensure the premises are clean and tidy.
- Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and conduct risk assessments.
- Repairs: Organize and oversee repairs and maintenance work.
- Inventory Management: Maintain and restock equipment and supplies.
- Event Support: Provide logistical support for events and activities.
Miscellaneous Duties
- Assist colleagues at other locations.
- Attend relevant training.
- Drive the food bank vehicle for collections and deliveries.
Requirements

- Commitment to reducing poverty and supporting the community.
- Experience in premises management and maintenance is desirable.
- Valid driving license.
