Position: Class 2 Driver Location: LeicesterSalary: £12.59phHours: 4 on 4 off 6am-6pm Are you an experienced Class 2 Driver looking to transition into a vital shunting role within a fast-paced logistics warehouse? We are seeking a motivated and skilled Class 2 Driver who is ready to take on the challenge of becoming a Shunter within our busy operations. In this position, you will use your driving skills to safely maneuver vehicles within the warehouse yard, ensuring the smooth flow of goods by positioning trailers, loading bays, and containers in an efficient manner.Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely maneuver vehicles and shunt trailers within a warehouse or yard setting.
  • Operate forklift trucks (FLT) to move goods and materials (Training can be provided) 
  • Ensure all movements are carried out in line with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks and basic maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities and ensure efficient use of resources.
Required Qualifications:
  • Class 2 Driver’s License.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious approach.
