My client is a is a new kind of social destination, designed to elevate the ordinary. Its an authentic coffee house, non-alcoholic bar, and restaurant.

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilledHead Chefwith a deep expertise inIndian cuisineto lead our culinary team. As we continue to elevate our dining experience, we are looking for a seasoned professional to drive the kitchen operations and maintain the highest standards of culinary excellence.

The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills and a flair for creativity, with the ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced establishment.

The role

  • Leadership & Kitchen Management:Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the seamless execution of service during peak hours. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
  • Menu Development:Design and curate seasonal and special menus that reflect the authenticity and sophistication of Indian cuisine. Continually innovate while preserving traditional flavours and techniques.
  • Quality Control:Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency, ensuring each dish exceeds guest expectations. Implement effective quality control systems to maintain excellence in every plate.
  • Cost Management:Monitor kitchen inventory and ordering in and when supplies are needed.
  • Health & Safety Compliance:Ensure that all health and safety guidelines, including sanitation and food safety protocols, are strictly adhered to in all kitchen operations.

The candidate

  • Extensive Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef, with a strong background in Indian cuisine.
  • Culinary Expertise:In-depth knowledge of Indian culinary techniques, regional specialties, spices, and flavour profiles. Ability to adapt traditional recipes with contemporary innovation.
  • Leadership Skills:Proven experience in managing and leading kitchen teams, with the ability to inspire and drive excellence through mentorship and effective team management.
  • Creativity & Passion:A creative approach to menu design, with a passion for pushing the boundaries of traditional Indian cooking while respecting its authenticity.
  • Operational Excellence:Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage kitchen logistics, inventory, staff scheduling, and cost control effectively.
