This is a fully remote position, with customer visits expected to support on motion control & PLC applications.
The Applications Engineer / Automation Engineer / Technical Support Engineer / Motion Control Specialist will be responsible for assisting customers in designing, implementing, and optimising motion control systems. The ideal candidate will need a strong background in PLCs and automation and be happy speaking to customers and working with them on successful projects.

- Working remotely where youll collaborate with customers to understand their motion control / automation / PLC requirements and develop tailored solutions market leading technology
- Design and configure motion control systems
- Assist customers in learning to use motion control technology to ensure seamless integration and operation within the overall automation system.
- Help customers to integrate motion control systems with PLCs & HMIs for comprehensive control and monitoring capabilities.
- Provide first line technical support for customers remotely and on-site as needed.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in Siemens motion control technology, emerging trends, and best practices through continuous learning and professional development.
- Support sales team with technical assistance

Requirements
- Engineering qualification - Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
- This role would suit an Automation Engineer / PLC Engineer / Technical Support Engineer / Motion Control specialist / Applications Engineer / PLC Specialist / Technical Engineer looking for a customer facing and technical role
- Knowledge of designing, programming, and implementing motion control systems ideally with Siemens technology or equivalent.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Occasional travel may be required for training and customer support.
