Business Development Manager (SSAS)

Reed Financial Services are seeking Business Development Manager (BDM) with a strong background in financial services to lead our sales efforts at WBR SSAS within the designated geographical area. The BDM will be responsible for achieving revenue targets by developing sales strategies, managing relationships, and ensuring the effective delivery of DC & DB SSAS services. This role requires collaboration with various departments to align sales initiatives with business objectives and drive growth.

Day to day of the role:

  • Develop and implement SSAS sales strategies to meet target financial goals.
  • Identify and target new business opportunities within the UK market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with intermediary partners, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Understand client needs and provide customised solutions, including introductions to Tax and Law colleagues where appropriate.
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Adhere to sales processes and best practices, working closely with the New Business Team.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance and market trends.
  • Work closely with marketing, technical development, and SSAS administration teams.
  • Participate in product development and marketing strategy discussions.
  • Give presentations at events, workshops, and individual meetings, utilising company best practice.
  • Contribute to public relations and marketing programmes by writing copy for articles, blogs, web pages, and product literature.
  • Be a strong brand ambassador for the company.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of sales experience in the financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Experience with member-directed pension arrangements – SIPP & SSAS.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and people skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial products and services.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
