Business Development Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a business Development Manager to join a family run business based in Leeds. They specialise in waste management across the country. Due to continued growth of the company, they are now looking for a tenacious, passionate and positive Business Development Manager to join their dedicated team of sales staff covering Leicester, this would be a fully field-based position, working Monday to Friday, offering a permanent, full-time opportunity, with a salary of up to £25,000 plus commission.

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for identifying and securing new accounts via cold call door knocks and other lead generation methods and effectively nurturing them using their recently implemented bespoke CRM system. The role is field based but will require some time to be spent in the offices for sales meetings. You will achieve and exceed monthly targets and manage your own personal sales pipeline. You will act as the key interface between the customer and all relevant internal departments. You will use and update internal CRM systems, and other appropriate records. You will also help to support the Sales Manager and other colleagues with other sales related activities.

What skills will you have?

As the Business Development Manager you will have proven field sales experience, within the Waste Management sector would be an advantage but not essential. You will have a proven track record of selling contracted services and achieving / overachieving sales targets. You must be able to handle rejection and not be afraid to work rain or shine. You must be social media savvy, who can build an excellent rapport and have brilliant sales skills. You must also be articulate, confident, and politely persistent, who can work well as part of a team. You will be ambitious and self-motivated, demonstrating a strong "can do" attitude, with the determination to succeed and be prepared to go the extra mile to win a customer's commitment. As this is a field sales position, a driver's licence is required, a company car will be provided.
