Job Description

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities within our UK Advisory Services Team. The ideal candidate should have a strong track record in sales and also worked within Technical areas of FMCG business or major food retailers. 

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively prospecting New Business for Advisory services 
  • Present new services to existing clients to maximise business opportunities .
  • Negotiating pricing and terms of supply for each designated contract/prospect to maximise profitability and added value.
  • Maintain and progress area pipeline and accurately forecast/budget future sales.
  • Deliver professional presentations to promote expertise, capabilities, and differential of SGS to potential new clients.
  • Take ownership of commercial aspects 
  • Develop and strategically implement annual sales plan 

Qualifications

Essential: 

  • Proven sales background selling technical services 
  • Full driving license for use in the UK.
  • Understanding of technical services on offer to the UK food and retail sectors.
  • Worked within a target driven environment 

Desirable: 

  • Have a background in food manufacturing and or experience within the Quality/Technical area of an FMCG business
  • Background of the food legal labelling industry 
  • Worked with UK Major food retailers
