Your new companyYou will be an established contractor based in Leicestershire working on water projects for high-profile clients. This multi-sector organisation has a strong order book and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Principal Structural Engineer to lead their team of talented engineers. This is a permanent position based in their Leicestershire office.Your new roleAs Principal Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Undertaking the design and review of structures on wastewater and water infrastructure treatment projects
  • Leading the delivery of structural design by others
  • Holding responsibility for delivering to agreed budget, programme and quality
  • Producing and reviewing high quality deliverables, including calculations, drawings and technical reports
  • Delegating tasks and overseeing the work of others whilst simultaneously acting as a technical mentor to more junior staff.

What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful, you will:

  • Hold a Civil Engineering degree (or experience equivalent)
  • Possess a range of structural analysis and design experience, particularly in relation to reinforced concrete and steelwork structures
  • Have experience using BIM and 3D design tools.
