We are looking for a Structural Engineer to join a fast growing and dynamic engineering practice based in the Leicestershire area.

The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in delivering a wide range of commercial, industrial, and residential structural projects throughout the UK. To be considered for this role you will already have structural engineering experience in the UK within the building / construction industry on permanent works. You will have knowledge of the British Standards and Eurocodes.

As Structural Engineer you will work on a variety of high-end projects from concept to completion. This is truly a great company to work for that's expanding rapidly which presents progression opportunities for the right individual.

What's involved for the Structural Engineer…

  • Collaborating with the Client and project delivery team to create and develop structural designs and calculations.
  • Providing high quality concept, preliminary and detailed technical design for foundation and superstructure components, for new build as well as refurbishment and extension schemes.
  • Carrying out a range of structural calculations, analysis and designs
  • Preparing Building Regulations calculations packages for submission to the Local Authority.
  • Preparing structural design sketches/drawings and providing the relevant input to enable CAD drawing and Revit model generation.
  • Report writing.
  • Ensuring that projects are undertaken to the specified budget and time frames.

What you'll need…

  • Expertise in a range of relevant software packages such as AutoCAD, Trimble Tekla and Structural Designer, Tekla Structures, Autodesk Revit, Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  • Recent, relevant UK experience of detailed design for a variety of structural works
  • Knowledge and application of Design Guides, Codes of Practise and Regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to producing high quality work and to promoting the reputation of the company.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
