Job Title: Building Control Plan Checker Hybrid Working

Location: Leicester

Salary: up to £58k

Hours of Work: 40 Hours Monday Friday

Type: Permanent

Start Date: Immediately (flexible for notice periods)


A UK-wide Building Control Approval business now require and experienced Plan Checker to workon plans for commercial and residential build projects.


The role will require the successful candidate to provide building control plan checking for compliance with Building Regulations on a variety of projects and developments.


Duties

  • Plan checking to ensure compliance with Building Regulations and associated statutory legislation.
  • Liaison with local Authorities as required.
  • Record inspection details on company systems whilst providing consultation with customers.
  • Provide technical guidance to on building control matters to all stakeholders.
  • Accurate and timely record keeping in line with company procedures and contractual requirements.
  • Attend design team meetings as reasonably required.

It is essential or preferrable that you have the following experience, qualifications or skills;

  • 5 years relevant Building Control experience.
  • Plan check experience relevant to Building Control.
  • Full understanding of the Building Regulations, associated legislation and construction standards.
  • Membership of MRICS, MCABE or on course for chartership would be desirable however candidates who with the relevant experience will also be considered.
