We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to join our team at the Stoney Stanton site. If you have hands-on experience in building work, carpentry, painting and decorating, or an engineering background, this role could be the perfect fit for you.

Key Responsibilities:As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the maintenance department to ensure the smooth operation of the plant. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring a safety-first approach in all activities to drive towards an incident-free workplace.
  • Completing low-technical maintenance tasks such as pipework painting, fixtures, fittings, and cleaning conveyor trays.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy site, including site perimeter, grassy areas, and security fencing.
  • Performing site tasks such as scaffolding erection, firewatching for hot work, and accompanying contractors or visitors.
  • Supporting general labouring duties and dealing with issues as they arise.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement efforts across site operations.
  • Assisting with site equipment tagging and site bin management.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience and/or qualifications in building work, carpentry, painting, and decorating.
  • Engineering background preferred but not essential.
  • Practical experience on industrial sites, preferably high hazardous/COMAH environments.
  • IPAF, PASMA, and Firewatcher trained (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to follow instructions and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills with a proactive and safety-conscious mindset.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends as required.
