Sales and Customer Service Representative
  • Annual Salary: up to £30,000
  • Location: Leicester
  • Job Type: Full-time 40 hours a weekJoin a leading provider of student accommodation, where you will be part of an experienced front-facing team dedicated to maintaining full occupancy and delivering outstanding customer service. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment, engaging directly with customers through sales, enquiries, and payment processing both face-to-face and online.
Day-to-day of the role:
  • Sales:

    • Manage and record sales enquiries including calls, texts, and emails.
    • Conduct onsite tours, both virtual and in person.
    • Actively participate in Open Days to support sales and brand awareness.
    • Manage the customer journey from initial contact through to sale completion, including documentation and move-in paperwork in compliance with GDPR.
    • Handle payments, record accurately, and chase debts as necessary.
  • Customer Service:

    • Respond to phone calls and manage site email inboxes promptly and courteously.
    • Maintain up-to-date notes on customer accounts following interactions.
    • Process rental and other reactive payments.
    • Greet customers and team members professionally.
    • Promote positive customer reviews and manage complaints according to company policy.
    • Oversee check-ins and move-outs, ensuring excellent customer care throughout.
    • Log maintenance enquiries promptly and support student social events, including occasional evening engagements.
    • Support student welfare and manage security reports.
  • Turnaround / Mid-term Take-overs:

    • Conduct physical room check-outs and final checks.
    • Process end-of-tenancy documentation and log jobs from check-outs.
  • Admin:

    • Utilise Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook, and internal systems such as TCAS, Rental Manager, and Zopim (training provided).
    • Follow daily opening and closing procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in customer-facing roles such as sales, lettings, or hospitality.
  • Team player with a variety of skills, adaptable to both dynamic and repetitive tasks.
  • Strong sales skills and enjoyment of sales activities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to task completion.
  • Superb communication skills and ability to build rapport.
  • Computer literacy and confidence in engaging with technology.
  • Confident, engaging personality with a passion for delivering fantastic customer service.
