Company Overview:Join a well-established precision engineering company, specialising in high-quality solutions for an array of customers from bespoke prototypes in pharmaceutical to mass production runs in oil and gas. They work with a range of materials from plastics such as nylon, acetal and acrylic to metals including aluminium, brass and steel. They are now seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to support an ambitious growth plan. Within this role, their are opportunities for personal growth, with the ideal candidate eventually aspiring to lead and manage the workshop. What’s on offer:
  • Salary: £16-£20 per hour + standard benefits.
  • Day shift: 8:00-16:00 (40 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Program, set and operate CNC machines to produce components according to precise engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Set up, adjust, and program machines using Fanuc/Haas controls to ensure optimal performance and meet tolerance requirements.
  • Perform quality inspections using precision measuring tools to verify compliance with design specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues promptly to minimise downtime and maintain schedules.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to optimise processes and enhance overall manufacturing efficiency.
  • Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
What are we looking for:
  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or related role
  • Turning biased with expertise in Fanuc/Haas controls
  • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints accurately.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, capable of thriving in a collaborative environment.
