The role of the Contracts Manager – Sports Surfaces will involve:

  • Contracts Manager position dealing with a range of sports facilities such as: natural turf pitches, athletics tracks, 3G pitches, hybrid turf pitches, MUGAs & courts
  • Managing all aspects of the contracts from the tender stage all the way through to the completion
  • Monitoring all site activity; organising all site workers, collating risk assessments and carrying out health and safety checks
  • Liaising with clients and providing reports for the project
  • Attending pre-contract meetings and progress meetings with clients
  • Procuring required materials to ensure project is completed smoothly
  • Overseeing project designs and making amendments where required
  • Maintaining good working knowledge of current contracts, acts, and legislation
  • Electronically documenting all contract-related correspondence, identifying and recording progress and problems
  • Managing projects that range in value between £500k to £5m+

The ideal applicant will be Contracts Manager – Sports Surfaces with:

  • Must have 5 + years Contracts Management experience within the civils or groundworks market sector
  • Ideally will have experience dealing with sports surfaces however this isn’t essential
  • IT literate (Microsoft Programme, Word & Excel)
  • Full UK driving license
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Personable, team player, problem solver, driven and enthusiastic
