NJR are currently working with a with a firm of Independent Financial Advisers offering specialist Financial Planning in all areas ranging from Investment advice to Mortgage advice and much more. They are currently looking for a Mortgage Paraplanner to join their firm. This role is a desk based role, providing paraplanning, administration and sales support within the Mortgage, Equity Release and Protection Department.

Key Responsibilties of the Mortgage Paraplanner:

  • Provide full administration and paraplanning support for whole-of-market mortgage advice.
  • Prepare and submit client documents and applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage and oversee cases from conversion to completion, ensuring all documents are collected, attached, and compliant.
  • Liaise with advisers, lenders, solicitors, and clients to ensure smooth and efficient handling of cases.
  • Proactively call leads, schedule client callbacks, and arrange meetings with both new and existing clients.
  • Create compliant suitability reports for mortgage and protection recommendations.
  • Use research and sourcing software like Iress Tri-Gold and Exchange to support advisers in preparing detailed recommendations.
  • Engage with clients regularly through phone, email, and written correspondence

To be successful for this role, the ideal candidate will:

  • Recent experience in a similar role, preferably within a whole-of-market brokerage.
  • Genuine passion for delivering first-class client service.
  • Experience using mortgage and protection research/sourcing software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the ability to learn new software systems quickly (e.g., XPlan).
  • Mortgage qualifications such as CeMAP, CF6, or RO7 (advantageous but not essential).
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage workloads independently, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
