We are seeking a candidate to join our clients Risk Assessments Team, focusing on the transport requirements of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This role is crucial in supporting the team to complete and review individual risk assessments to determine and adapt transport arrangements for home to school transport based on the children's needs.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Conduct risk assessments for SEND transport requirements.
  • Gather and interpret information from various sources to produce comprehensive written reports and correspondence.
  • Review existing risk assessments regularly, taking into account any changes in the children's needs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to problem-solve and achieve suitable outcomes.
  • Maintain high standards of communication, liaising empathetically and calmly with parents, carers, and other members of the public.
  • Utilise a range of IT packages effectively, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in conducting risk assessments or similar analytical roles.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate written reports.
  • Confidence in using a variety of IT packages, particularly Microsoft Office and database software.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the capability to engage empathetically and professionally with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work at County Hall for induction, training, team days, and as required by the service.
