Macildowie are working with a leading business based in Leicester to recruit a Credit Controller on a permanent, hybrid basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable company with a collaborative and supportive team culture.

Salary: up to £26,000 (up to £300 monthly bonus)Location: LeicesterWork Pattern: Hybrid following probation (3 days in office)

The Role

As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining an effective debt collection process, maximising company profits, and minimising bad debts. You'll play a key role in the company's shared service function, working within a dynamic team that supports a diverse portfolio of businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively collect debt from all accounts and resolve issues to improve aged debt profiles.
Implement and enforce company credit policies.
Evaluate and grant credit within an agreed authority level.
Post and allocate payments to the sales ledger.
Build productive relationships with customers and internal teams.
Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.
Provide regular progress reports to the Credit Control Team Leader.

What We're Looking For:

Skills: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both written and verbal.
Experience: Credit control experience is advantageous but not essential.
Qualifications: GCSE Maths and English (grade C or above or equivalent).
IT Skills: Confident use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
A proactive and calm approach to problem-solving under pressure.
