This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and empathetic individual with experience supporting students with behavioural challenges to make a real difference in a student's educational journey.Key Responsibilities:Behaviour Support: Provide individual and group support to students with challenging behaviours, implementing strategies to help them stay engaged and focused in the classroom.Mentoring: Build strong, trusting relationships with students, offering emotional and academic support to help them develop self-regulation skills and improve their behaviour.Collaboration with Staff: Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other support staff to plan and implement effective behavioural strategies and interventions.Supportive Learning Environment: Help create a safe and nurturing environment where students feel valued and encouraged to succeed, while supporting their personal and social development.Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor student progress, including behavioural development, and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents.Classroom Management: Assist the teacher in maintaining a positive and calm classroom environment, promoting positive behaviour and supporting effective learning.Essential Requirements:Experience: Prior experience working with children in a school or behavioural support setting, ideally with students who have additional needs or behavioural challenges.Patience and Empathy: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to support students with patience, understanding, and a positive attitude.Behaviour Management Training: Any relevant training in behaviour management techniques (such as Team-Teach, Restorative Practice, or similar) is highly desirable.DBS: A DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and engage with students, staff, and parents.Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and work flexibly in a fast-paced environment.Please Note: This is a full-time position, so applicants must be available for the full duration of the placement.At Aspire People, we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment.
