We are currently looking for Senior and Mid-Level Electrical Design Engineers to join our client, a leading engineering consultancy providing design services to the energy sector. With sites in Leicester, Nottingham, and Ruddington, you will undertake an Electrical Design role on high-pressure pipeline and plant systems, working to high engineering standards and within client budgets and timescales.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and detail-oriented, capable of working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will have a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental procedures, especially related to design and construction activities.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in utility, pipeline, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of applicable design codes, including BS7671 (Electrical Wiring Regulations) and British Standards.
- Electrical Engineering degree and appropriate institutional registration.
- Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status.
- Experience with AMTECH, AutoCAD 2D, and ATEX/DSEAR compliance.
- Knowledge of formal process safety assessments (HAZOP, HAZID, HAZCON, SWDS) and safety integrity standards (BS EN 61508 / BS EN 61511).
- Knowledge of instrumentation systems is an advantage, as you will be expected to carry out instrumentation designs.
