Electrical Design Engineer - Leicester

£35,000 - £50,000 pa DOE + Bonus

8.15 - 17.00 Mon - Thur, 8.15 - 13.00 Fri (there but may be some flexibility on this)

GiPro is delighted to be working exclusively with a well-established engineering company that specialises in the design and manufacturing of electrical equipment used within the industrial automation, transmission and distribution as well as rail transit markets. Due to the company's growth, we are now after an experienced Electrical Design Engineer.

Requirements:

  • Collaborating with the design team to create innovative solutions
  • Review design requirements and produce design calculations and production documentation
  • Produce electrical wiring diagrams using AutoCAD
  • Participate in research, development, and product testing
  • Conduct technical investigations
  • Deliver projects on schedule and within budget
  • Provide technical support
  • Identify and apply new industry-wide processes within the company

About you:

  • Hands-on design experience and a solid grasp of electrical engineering principles, along with basic knowledge of mechanical design.
  • Multiple years electrical design experience, preferably some with machinery design
  • Qualified to degree level in electrical engineering.
  • Knowledge of, and experience of designing in accordance with IEC 60204 and IEC 61439.
  • Experience of the product CE marking process and DFMEA
