Are you a Electrical Design Engineer with experience using Autodesk Inventor or similar, looking to join a company who are helping shape the future of electrical innovation, also offering an excellent work life balance and generous pay package?

This company is a manufacturer of quality resistors used in various industries like power generation, renewable energy, and transportation. With over 100 years of experience, they provide reliable resistor products that help control electrical current and ensure the safe operation of equipment. They are now rapidly moving into the renewables industry.

This role will see the successful candidate design resistors and other electrical equipment for a range of industrial applications. You will help the design team to bring customer demands into reality according to project demands and financial viability. You will also provide ongoing technical support to other departments and customers as needs dictate.

THE ROLE

  • Review design requirements & assist the engineering team with aspects of design and specification of materials
  • Produce design calculations and paperwork to manufacture designs
  • Produce and approve drawings and bills of materials
  • Conduct technical investigations, carrying out root cause analysis and initiate corrective action
  • Provide technical support to Production, Sales, Service and Customer Support
  • Deliver projects on schedule and on budget

THE PERSON

  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD Electrical, Creo or Siemens
  • IEC 60204 and 61439 design experience
  • Degree or HNC in related subject
