ATA is supporting a large manufacturing group who are looking to add an experience maintenance electrician to their team. With over 200 years of experience, this group has a well-established history of delivering sustainable packaging products to various industries, including Food, Beverage, Retail and E-commerce. The group are a true global leader within their field, operating across 40 plants in 17 countries, employ over 6,000 staff and turnover an impressive £2billion.

This site in Leicestershire has been at the heart of the community for over 40 years with a lot of their employees being at the site for near its full tenure including the plant manager who started on the shop floor. The site has always offered a great place to work and with investment plans on the horizon, it will soon become the groups UKs flagship site.

About the role

As a maintenance electrician on this site, your role will be varied but include a mix of fault finding on electrical systems, electrical installation work, reactive maintenance (breakdowns), PPM on machinery on site which includes lots of conveyor systems, and other plant machinery. You will be working on a variety of electrical components including relays, inverters, control panels, sensors, AC drives, star delta and 3 phase motors.

About you

To be considered for this line maintenance technician you should be/have the following:

  • Strong electrical knowledge and practical experience
  • You should have experience fault finding electrical inside control panels and experience on PLC systems
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience stripping and rebuilding a variety of electrical systems
  • Ideally you would have completed an electrical NVQ level 3 qualification or an apprenticeship
