- Oversee the quality and safety approval process for a wide range of electrical products, ensuring compliance with UK and EU regulations.
- Evaluate products against industry standards and safety regulations to guarantee compliance and reliability.
- Stay up to date with evolving industry regulations and advise on testing requirements to maintain legal compliance.
- Maintain accurate and detailed technical files, with a focus on the safety of imported goods.
- Review and approve product artwork, instruction manuals, and rating labels to ensure adherence to legal standards.
- Work closely with external labs, sourcing teams, and suppliers to address product compliance issues and investigate non-conformances.
- Experience with electrical products such as Small Domestic Appliances, heating, cooling, lighting, and home/garden items is advantageous but not essential. A passion for learning is key!
- Understanding of UK/EU product safety regulations and the ability to communicate technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to problem-solve, manage time effectively, and use IT tools like Word and Excel with confidence.
- Prior experience in a technical or QA role within an electrical category is beneficial, but recent graduates with a degree in electrical or electronic engineering are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with other product areas like chemicals, toys, or textiles is a plus but not required.
