- Carry out electrical maintenance on food production machinery
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults on control panels, PLC systems, motors, and other electrical equipment.
- Install, upgrade, and commission electrical systems and machinery to support our manufacturing operations.
- Ensure compliance with UK electrical safety standards, food industry regulations, and health & safety protocols.
- Support the implementation of automation systems, energy-saving initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.
- Collaborate with production teams to reduce downtime and improve the overall efficiency of food production.
- Keep accurate records of electrical work carried out, inspections, and any necessary testing.
- Participate in root cause analysis and offer solutions to prevent future issues and enhance system reliability.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer or Multi-Skilled Engineer within a UK food manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of food production machinery, including conveyors, mixers, and packaging lines.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, control panels, and fault-finding.
- City & Guilds Level 3 or higher in electrical engineering. Ideally multi-skilled
- A solid understanding of food industry standards such as HACCP, BRC, and UK health & safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
