Day-to-day of the role:
- Start your day from home, heading to your first job using a council-provided vehicle, equipped with all necessary building materials and electrical plant.
- Receive your daily job allocations through a work mobile phone provided by the Works Planning team.
- Spend your day travelling throughout the city, carrying out maintenance tasks
- Enjoy a balanced work-life schedule, with limited city-bound travel and occasional well-notified overtime during evenings or weekends.
- Workwear, PPE, and waterproofs are provided, with replacements available for any worn-out items.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Full valid driving licence.
- Experience in maintenance tasks within the social housing sector or similar.
- Qualifications in electrical work, such as:
- 18th Edition Qualification
- Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations (2391-52)
- City and Guilds 2382:2018 (18th Edition of the wiring regulations)
- Capability to inspect, test, and certify electrical installations as stated in BS 7671.
- Ability to work independently with support from a technical team for complex issues.
