Inspection/Testing Electrician (Solar Farms) required to work an hour drive away from Leicester. 45p per mile to be discssued on mileage depending how far you need to travel. Further overnight travel may be required occasionally (Travel/hotel expenses covered & £25 lunch voucher upfront provided).
My client is happy to take on a Domestic electrician if you fancy a change of scene and would like to try something different from Domestic jobs. Working on Solar Farms is more niche & outside - full training will be provided.
Ideally this will be temp/contract/subbing for 3 months and then go onto my client's books/payroll.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of PV solar systems according to the latest edition of BS EN (phone number removed) and other relevant standards.
- Install string cables onto photovoltaic (PV) array tables.
- Terminate DC mains cables at combiner boxes and inverter stations.
- Adhere to company safety protocols and industry standards.
Skills & Qualifications required:
- Test and Inspect certification (2391 or equivalent).
- Valid CSCS or ECS card
- Must be able to drive up to an hour from Stevenage and be prepared to stay away occasionally
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
- Experience in commercial or industrial electrical work (solar experience is a bonus).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving license is essential.
Offers:
- £220-250 per day depending on your experiences/solar
- Vehicle allowance + 45p per mile or Company van and fuel card.
- Working hours; 7am-5pm with an hour for lunch, Mons-Thurs, 7am-3,4,5pm on Fridays (depending on work load for the week).
- Overtime will be paid, 1x3 weekend work with travel expenses, if required.
