Fire and Security Engineer
£20 per hour + overtime + on-call
Midlands Area
Our client, an established engineering firm specialising in fire alarms, security and access control, is currently expanding their team with an experienced Fire and Security Engineer to cover the Midlands area. We’re on the lookout for a professional, multi-disciplined engineer with ideally 3-5 years’ experience to install a range of fire systems, intruder and access / intercom and CCTV systems to a high standard.
Ideally you will be Gent certified, with knowledge of a range of basic and advanced networking devices across a range of disciplines, however we recognise that additional training may be required. Projects range from small works installations to service and maintenance, as well as fault-finding and survey work.
This is a varied, autonomous role requiring someone with a strong work ethic and exacting standards to ensure exceptional service levels, minimal recalls and maximising time effectively to visit multiple sites per day.
Areas covered – Derby, Nottingham, Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester and surrounding Midlands area
In return, you will receive:
- Up to £20 per hour (equivalent to £41.5K basic)
- Plus £2.4K admin compliance bonus
- Working 8.30am-5.00pm Monday-Friday
- 1.5x rate for evenings, 2x rate for weekends/lates
- £250 on-call rate plus hours on-site
- Own van plus all mileage (including personal)
