Role & Responsibilities of the Employee Relations Consultant:

  • Effectively manage absence, conduct and performance via informal action and formal case management.
  • Successfully able to navigate policies and processes.
  • Manage employee relation case work, including supporting and coaching leaders on best practice.
  • Proactively work with leaders to drive and secure early identification and resolution of issues in core ER areas.
  • Achieve positive and reasonable outcomes for both colleagues and the company.
  • Highlight any trends from case work to support the ER Partner with addressing the issue areas, through providing effective and informative weekly reporting.
  • Ensure that you (and any direct reports) are meeting customers’ fair and reasonable expectations and provide fair outcomes. Question and challenge peers and managers where processes and procedures do not meet these expectations and any activity that does not place customers’ interests at the heart of how the company do business.


About You as the Employee Relations Consultant:

  • Previous ER experience is essential, it is ideal that you have a minimum 2 years experience in an ER role, or HR Advisor role that is ER heavy.
  • Previous experience with MI analysis.
  • Ability to explain complex issues in a straightforward way.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised and methodical with great attention to detail.
