A medium-sized Civil Engineering company based in Leicester, known for delivering high-quality projects across the region. Due to continued growth, They are looking for an experienced Heavy Plant Fitter to join the team.
The Role:
As a Heavy Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy plant machinery, including diggers, dumpers, and excavators. This is a varied role with a 50/50 split between working in our Leicester workshop and providing mobile support to our sites across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy plant machinery.
- Conduct regular servicing and inspections to ensure equipment is safe and reliable.
- Respond to breakdowns both in the workshop and on-site, ensuring minimal downtime for our operations.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure all machinery is fit for purpose.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working with heavy plant machinery.
- Strong knowledge of diggers, dumpers, excavators, and other plant equipment.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively between workshop and mobile duties.
- Full UK driving license (essential for the mobile aspect of the role).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
