Macildowie Finance are currently working with a premium employer brand based in Leicester to recruit a Finance Analyst - Data and Transformation. The role will suit an accountant with a passion and flair for process improvement and data driven transformation. This role will be pivotal in the continuous improvement and modernisation of financial processes, utilising advanced systems and data skills and driving the future of this high performing finance function. You will be responsible for; Evaluating current data sources to determine their quality, pinpoint areas for enhancement, and implement strategies for data cleaning, including the elimination of duplicates. Aligning fields and structures from the source system to the target system, ensuring the integrity of data and maintaining referential consistency with related records when necessary. Creating and implementing data purification processes and methods to guarantee accuracy, consistency, and completeness, considering any required data enrichment. Devising and carrying out data transformation logic and rules to standardise and normalise information for migration, in line with structured formats and data governance standards. Working closely with technical teams to extract, transform, and load data from source systems into staging areas for cleansing and transformation. Developing and maintain scripts, queries, and procedures for data cleansing to automate tasks and enhance the efficiency of data delivery processes. Conducting data validation and reconciliation activities to ensure the accuracy and completeness of migrated data, resolving any inconsistencies. Performing rigorous testing of the migrated vendor data to confirm functionality, data integrity, and performance in the destination system. Engage key stakeholders and subject matter experts in validation efforts to ensure they meet business requirements. Document procedures, methodologies, and best practices for data cleansing to facilitate knowledge sharing, serve as a reference, and meet audit and compliance requirements. Act as a subject matter expert in data cleansing techniques, tools, and processes, offering support and guidance to junior team members and stakeholders To be considered for this role you will be An accountant by trade (Part Qualified/Qualified options will be considered) with general ledger accounting experience. However, you will have a flair and passion for process improvement and using data skills to drive efficiencies and optimise performance. Experience with data mapping, cleansing and validation is key.
