Accounts Manager - Top 40 firm Leicester£50,000 to £60,000

Butler Rose Public Practice are pleased to be partnered with this high growth and ambitious Top 40 firm that are now able to recruit an experienced and qualified (ACA or ACCA) Accounts Manager to take up a pivotal role within the firm's Business Services department.

This role will be instrumental in managing a sizeable portfolio of 100+ businesses, overseeing the day-to-day management of each client. This includes, statutory accounts, VAT returns, personal tax returns and CoSec activities.

Role Requirements -

  • Managing a diverse portfolio of SME clients under the audit threshold
  • Manage client relationship and provide advice and business support in advisory meetings
  • Clear arising queries with clients ensuring a collaborative, and supportive relationship.
  • To manage clients engaged services to include Debtor Chasing, Supplier Pay runs, VAT Returns, Payroll, Cash flow Forecasting & Management Accounts
  • Inclusion of statutory disclosures in line with the company checklist
  • Understanding and evaluating and monitoring client's business and recommending improvement where needed
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.

Person Requirements -

  • ACA or ACCA qualified with at least 5+ years' experience in a similar Senior Accountant, Accounts or Client Manager level role working for a prominent UK based firm of accountants.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to work as part of a wider team as well as independently
  • The production of accurate and elective work within your service line within tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Broad range of IT skills to underpin performance to include proficiency with Excel & IRIS and Xero (advantageous)
